Charging guns with liquid cooling systems, and charging guns with an IP protection rating equivalent to IPX7.
This machine is mainly used to perform pressure resistance and leakage tests to verify the sealing performance of liquid-cooled charging guns and those with an IP protection rating higher than IPX4.
Using a PLC control system, high-precision pressure sensors collect real-time pressure data from the gas line connected to the sample’s sealing component. The system goes through the pressurization → pressure holding → pressure relief cycle. During the holding phase, it verifies whether the pressure drop detected by the sensor meets the test criteria, thus validating the sealing performance of the sample’s pipeline.
Using a PLC control system, high-precision pressure sensors collect real-time pressure data from the gas line connected to a pressure-sealed chamber, simulating the IPX7 rated pressure (150 kPa). The system goes through the pressurization → pressure holding → pressure relief cycle. During the holding phase, it verifies whether the pressure drop detected by the sensor meets the test criteria, thus validating the protection rating and sealing performance of the sample’s housing (with the use of a custom auxiliary fixture to ensure the housing’s interior is open to the external environment).

Test Pressure Specifications |
Positive pressure channel: 0-600 kPa, resolution ratio: 0.001 kPa (0–4 decimal places configurable); sensor withstand pressure: 3 × full scale. Differential pressure channel: 0–2000 Pa, resolution ration: 0.1 Pa (0–4 decimal places configurable); sensor withstand pressure: 13.8 MPa. The device is connected to an external air compressor. Pressure is pre-adjusted via the pressure regulator on the equipment panel (to a value higher than the test pressure), then precisely controlled by the built-in proportional pressure valve to regulate the pressure input to the product, with parameters configurable via the touchscreen. |
| Sensor Accuracy | 0.055% |
| Available Pressure Units | kPa, kg/cm², PSI, mbar, bar, Torr, mmH₂O, mmHg |
| Available Leakage Units | Pa, Pa/s, mL/s, mL/min, L/min, Pa·m³/s |

Test Modes |
1. Positive Pressure Test for Liquid-Cooling Tubes: Connect the equipment fitting to the sample tube fitting. Pressurize the tube; once the target pressure is reached, close the valve and hold the pressure. Monitor the pressure drop over a set period. An alarm is triggered if the drop exceeds the allowable limit; press reset to release pressure. If the test passes, pressure is released automatically. 2. Housing IP Rating Test: Place the sample in the dedicated upper and lower molds. Press start to begin the test; the pneumatic cylinder automatically presses down to form a sealed chamber. Apply positive pressure to the gap between the mold and the charging gun sample; once the target pressure is reached, close the valve and hold the pressure. Monitor the pressure drop over a set period (leakage from the housing into the interior). An alarm is triggered if the drop exceeds the allowable limit; press reset to release pressure. If the test passes, pressure is released automatically. |
