Equipment Overview
The UL Water Spray Test Chamber is specially designed to evaluate the enclosure protection performance of self-ballasted lamps, lamp adapters, and U.S. standard charging connectors under controlled water spray conditions. By simulating UL-specified spray scenarios, the chamber tests the ability of electrical components to resist water ingress, ensuring their safety and reliability in real-world environments.
Equipped with three UL-standard spray nozzles, pressure meters, control valves, and a robust water supply frame, the system allows precise regulation of water pressure and nozzle distance to the specimen. Ideal for R&D labs, quality control, and certification testing, this chamber helps manufacturers verify waterproof performance and improve product durability.
Key Features:
Complies with UL water spray test standards
Adjustable nozzle distance and water pressure for accurate testing
Suitable for self-ballasted lamps, lamp adapters, and US standard charging connectors
Real-time monitoring with reliable pressure control
Ensures product safety and enclosure water resistance
Technical Parameters
| Distance between the center Nozzle and the Device | Approximately 1.4m (55 inches) |
| Water Pressure | Each spray head operates at approximately 34.5 kPa (5 psi) and is equipped with a corresponding pressure gauge, with the total water flow pressure ranging from 50 to 150 kPa. |
| Spray Heads Positions | The spray head positions can be adjusted vertically along the water spray pipe rack, with spacing configured in accordance with UL 60507-ENGL 1999 Figures 38.1 and 38.2, UL 1993 Figure 24.1, and other relevant standards. |
| Lower Nozzle Angle (Optional) | 45° up |
| Control & Operation | Manual |
| Spray Heads | Three units (or optionally four, including a lower nozzle), produced in compliance with UL 60507-ENGL 1999 Figures 38.1 and 38.2, UL 1993 Figure 24.1, UL 2251-2022 Clause 57, and Figures 57.1 and 57.2, among others. |
